Sergio Benvenuto is a psychoanalyst, former researcher in social psychology at CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche) in Rome. He is president of the Elvio Fachinelli Institute - ISAP (Institute of Advanced Studies in Psychoanalysis). In 1995 he founded and directed the \"European Journal of Psychoanalysis\" and is editor of American Imago and Psychoanalytic Discourse.
